For the last 7 years a beautiful evergreen clematis has graced

our front fence. The last year or 2 though there hasn't been much flowering

and this year there was just death. Dead leaves and vines, no flowers.
I felt sadness but knew it had to be removed from the fence,

imagine my relief to see this little nub of a plant.

The clematis will live again, hopefully to flower for years to come.
