Salmonberries

I'm thinking color about now, lots of color -

anything but the grey of outside.

During the summer we try to get out as much 

as we possibly can. So much of the year

is spent under cloud cover and rain

that when the sun shines we feel we have

to make the most of the time.

It is glorious when the sun shines here,

everything is green and the berries ripen.

~

rubus spectabilis OR like me you could call

it rubus spectacularlis 

The illustrious salmon berry comes in red or yellow.

A native plant and an all around beauty to me.
