This primrose has surprised me, it is growing
directly under a red currant and is being
crowded by some grass. I thought in
those crowded conditions it would feel
bullied but nope!
Darn that grass keeps trying to take over!

Money plant is an easy grow, biennial
with pretty spring flowers and a very cool fall look
Silver dollar is another name for this plant,
the silver dollars are the decorative seed pods
that hang on through the winter.

Mayapple in various stages. I've loved having this plant in my yard, an easy to grow (means do nothing) native perennial.
Seems to do fine in sun or shade and is marvelous in this partly shady garden.
Have I said how much I love this plant?
Check out the flower here, which by the way does actually come out in May. One has to get down on the ground to see the flower as it is hidden under that umbrella leaf.  There is a fruit eventually but I've yet to get a picture of it.

One pretty little tulip near this wood carving.
I tried to find info about the carvings in this area
but came up with nothing.

Adorable little blue flowers and one tulip.
Forget me nots are so easy to grow, easily pulled
out if they pop up where you don't want them.
And they are blue, hello! How many blue
flowers do you have?!

The lupine is getting ready to send out it's
flower stalk, in the meantime I enjoy
the simple beauty of it's leaves.

I will admit to enjoying the weeds a flowering.
Is this purple deadnettle (lamium purpureum)
OR henbit (lamium amplexicaule)?

Ben cat loves to smell flowers, I'm certain
that's what he was doing right before
I took this photo.

Hail in April in the Pacific Northwest!
Hail yes! I just keep telling myself this:
April showers bring May flowers
I'm fairly certain I hear a cartoon
character singing this!!!

Wallflower has been seen on this blog
a few times, the first time was here.
There is a reason for that; I love it.
The first wallflower blossoms of the season.

These beauties are growing by the side of the road
in Fremont. Someone with a postage stamp sized
spot to plant in and they did a beautiful job.
